The Battle of Virginia Beach Information

 

Dates:

Saturday June 29th & Sunday June 30th. Every team will play three games on Saturday, and at least one game on Sunday.

Location:

The entire tournament will take place at the Princess Anne Atheltic Complex in Virginia Beach, VA. Each game will be played on pristine fields with Bermuda grass. More information about the Princess Anne Athletic Complex can be found on their website: www.vbgov.com/paac.

Fees:

In an effort to be as cost-effective as possible, there are early registration savings for registering in advance. There is also savings for sending multiple teams to our tournament. For information on multiple team registration contact Devin Pinkston at devin@shorewars.com

Early Bird $900.00
Prior to April 1, 2013

Non-Early Bird $1,000.00
After April 1, 2013

Early Bird fee all costs must be paid by April 1, 2013
All fees must be paid in full June 1, 2013.

Registration & Age Groups/Divisions:

High School A: Our most competitive division for high school.  Freshman through seniors permitted to play, no Post-Grad players allowed.
High School B:  This division will be for teams mostly made of 9th and 10th graders.  This division is not set to be as competitive at the High School A division.  Teams of similar age will be paired to play against each other.
U15 A:  This division will be our most competitive for U15.  Every player MUST meet the U15 Date of Birth Guidelines.  Teams made up of all rising 9th graders, or a mix of rising 8th and 9th allowed.  Suggested division for pure 8th grade (rising 9th)-only teams.  Teams that have 2012-2013 freshmen on their roster are not permitted for U15 play.  There is a High school bracket designated for freshman and sophomore only teams.
U15 B: This division will be for teams that are not as competitive as the A group.  Teams in this division are suggested to be mostly if not all rising 8th graders, although teams mixed with rising 7th and 8th will be permitted.  Teams with all rising 9th graders should register in the A division.  All players MUST meet the U15 Date of Birth Guidelines.  Teams that have 2012-2013 freshmen on their roster are not permitted for U15 play.  There is a High school bracket designated for freshman and sophomore only teams.
U13 A: This division will be our most competitive for U13. Every player MUST meet the U13 Date of Birth Guidelines.   Teams made up of all 7th graders, or a mix of 6th and 7th graders allowed.  This will be the suggested division for pure 7th grade- only teams.
U13 B: This division will for teams that are not as competitive as the A group.  Teams in this division are suggested to be mostly if not all 6th graders, although teams mixed with 6th and 7th will be permitted.  Teams with all 7th graders are encouraged register in the A division.  All players MUST meet the U13 Date of Birth Guidelines.
U11:  Currently slated for on U11 division.  We will expand to two U11 divisions depending on the number of teams entered.   All players must be born on or after Sept. 1, 2001
U9: All players must be born on or after Sept. 1, 2003.

DOB Guidelines:

• U9: All players must be born on or after 9/1/2003
• U11: All players must be born on or after 9/1/2001
• U13: All players must be born on or after 9/1/1999
• U15: All players must be born on or after 9/1/1997

To reserve a spot in a Shore Wars event you must pay a minumum of $200. Full Payment must be received by June 1st or your spot will be given to the next team in the waiting list.
